4 of 5 Great, love the features October 7, 2015
Reviewer: JJT3 from Dunedin, FL United States
The manual has something to be desired but I managed to wade through it to figure it all out. It works great. My only problem is I cannot find rechargeable batteries that will work with this because the energizers I bought die after 2.5 hours. Has anyone found rechargeable batteries that will work. Most batteries are 1.2 volts while this oximeter requires 1.5 volt batteries meaning wasteful nonrechargeable alkalines. Has anyone found a way around this?

5 of 5 Contec CMS 50D+ (Fingertip) Pulse Oximeter May 8, 2015
Reviewer: LC from SLC, UT United States
The main unit and its accessories all appear to be very well constructed.

The User Manual is thorough and well written with much attention to detail.

Programming the operation of the unit is exceptionally easy to perform using only a single button.

The alarm feature, the ability to set the threshold, especially for blood oxygen saturation, is well implemented, and is the reason I purchased this unit.

I haven't used the data recording feature yet. The documentation for it, the software to download and display the recorded data, appear to be well implemented. If I use this feature, I will probably update my review to comment on my experience of it.

In summary, this unit is worth every dollar I paid for it. I could not find anything that could compete with it, for quality and features.

I highly recommend this unit.

LC

4 of 5 good so far CMS 50 D PLUS Ox w Memory & alarms November 17, 2014
Reviewer: ed hall
I don't know how to transfer the information to a computer. I have not read the manual yet. It seems accurate matching my sensations of skipped beats. I have low oxygen saturation, sometimes dropping to 84. usually it's 92 The pulse ranges quite a bit dropping quite low but I think it's from all the pvcs.Switching fingers is easy just a few taps to get the numbers and  graph right side up.  The numbers flash once you set paramaters

5 of 5 Excellent service, excellent product. September 24, 2014
Reviewer: CDA from Athens, AL United States
When the EMTs were unable to determine my wife's heart rate using a standard cuff until the ambulance was half way to the hospital, I decided to purchase a pulse oximeter to get an early reading. My wife's pulse rate had suddenly gone over 200 BPM without apparent cause. This is not the first time.
She and I both find the pulse oximeter to be very calming when she feels that one of her "attacks" is coming on because we can quickly determine if its real or just stress. I bought a second pulse oximeter for my son who occasionally experiences spontaneous lung collapse. He is happy to have a way to quickly determine how severe the collapse is by how it affects his blood oxygen level. They both provide accurate readings within three seconds. Both shipped quickly.

4 of 5 Review April 26, 2014

Unit has operated good.  Can read O2 levels an pulse easily.  Also have been able to record and save several hours during sleep.  Download the next day to computer with software provided.  Print the reports to "PDF's" with other software to store results.  Only problem to date (1 week) was the very first time I removed battery cover, t small base latch broke off so just used without that cover.

4 of 5 Be careful when you try to down load data. January 1, 2014
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Denver, CO United States
Product works as advertised. However, the single button makes it too easy to erase the data you are trying to download. If you turn on recording (which is too easy to do) you will erase down loaded data so you cannot read it. The instructions are very bad.l

5 of 5 sleep check with CMS 50-D December 28, 2013
Reviewer: Larry Nygard from EL DORADO, CA United States
This response rapidly to changes in oxygen saturation and is accurate. I am checking the bipap I have been using. It was clear that
there was a big improvement in oxygen saturation as long as I didn't sleep on my back. software works good and prints.
