The original iten I ordered was defective. The replacement item sent to replace it was not the same item number, and looks like an older model.

The product works very well.  It is a very intricate device and therefore needs very detailed instructions.  The included instructions were poorly written and obviously not written by an English speaking-background person.  However, from reviews I read before I purchased, I knew the instructions lacked clarity.

The CMS 50-E Fingertip Pulse Oximeter  works perfectly and I had no problems with Southeastern Medical Supply, Shipping was fast. I sleep with an oxygen concentrator, and this meter's report looks just like my overnight oximetry reports my doctor gets.
I can tell (the next day) when my cannula got dislodged.

High-quality product, quirky software.
I highly recommend it as a retired biomedical engineer.  Clothespin design may restrict flow in some subjects' fingers.

Twin-wavelength oximetry is very sensitive to skin contamination - don't expect good readings after working on a greasy tractor!
