The SonoTrax Basic A is made for simple auscultation (intermittent listening). Like other Sonotrax dopplers, the Sonotrax Basic A doppler has an audio output, which can be connected with earphone or recorder.

A variety of waterproof probes are available. The 2 or 3 mHz probes are indicated for the detection of fetal heart rate from early gestation through delivery and as a general indication of fetal well being. They can also be used to verify fetal heart viability following patient trauma.

It is a high performance model with FHR (Fetal Heart Rate) detection. It uses a manual mode with detection of the FHR through the built-in speaker. The SonoTrax Basic A has a slim, power saving design and you can add your choice of an interchangeable waterproof 2, 3, 4, 5 or 8 MHz ultrasound probe.
