5 of 5 Hardware Wonderful - How to avoid software issue June 18, 2012
Reviewer: james thomsen from key west, FL United States
As a 20 year field paramedic and ACLS instructor Trainer for AHA, retired after my WTC 9/11 injuries - This unit does all you would need besides readings, it gives type cardiac ecg, and stores all on a small SD card.  The problem should you have one is that Norton Antivirus and other internet security packages not only see the software as a threat, it automaticly deletes the files for your unit on your hard-drive, but then goes and overwrites the manufacturer mini install disk.    One day it is all installed and working great and the next boot-up you find no trace of the install files, and drivers needed to connect the USB  for data transfer.   China seems to source for the software and likely the hardware but the first thing you do when you open the box is take the install disk and make a copy on a thumb drive, CD, or as many ways as you can, as Norton System scans finds them and destroys them.     I am stuck on Vista OS but also have XP unit which had less issues.

I am pleased with the performance of this unit. It does exactly what it advertises. Easy to use. For longer than 30 second scans you need to be hooked up to your computer. All in all I am very happy with unit. It does use up batteries if you leave it on.

3 of 5 Great product; once I got it figured out. May 7, 2012
Reviewer: Marvin Fretwell from Boring, OR United States
The handheld ecg works great -- after I finally figured it out.  It took a couple of emails to Southeastern Medical Supply, but they were very helpful, and the manufacturer got involved too.  My difficulties were with the software, which wouldn't install properly on my Windows 7 PC.  I never did get that resolved, but the software installed on an older XP machine, and it works fine.

5 of 5 Limited ECG capability on a budget December 6, 2011
Reviewer: Lee: adv. first aid provider from Madison, AL United States
Great service. Delivery was as advertised and the product works as advertised. One suggestion is to bundle the product with more electrodes or as least offer them in bulk as a separate product.

4 of 5 choice md 100e handheld ecg detector December 6, 2011
Reviewer: bp from skokie, IL United States
this is easy to use and read. just make sure you have good connection to skin when using it or you'll get negative reading. also the software was easy to use and you have to use it if you want to print out your readings. if you are just looking to see if your heart has a stable beat this small device is great.
