The all new Alvita Ulitmate HJ329 Tri Axis Pedometer is a new model that is a replacement for the HJ-112. This is a feature driven unit that is specifically designed for aerobic activity. This Pedometer has the advanced 3D Smart Sensor technology - so it knows exactly when you�re taking a step. It�s more accurate than other pedometers which use a simple pendulum design.

Step count for hiking or treadmill was OK.  Step count for just walking around the house or yard was between 1000 and 2000 steps lower per day than count on older HJ-112.  wish I could return it and get a refund.

RESPONSE- THE HJ112 WAS A STAPLE IN OMRON'S GROUPING OF PEDOMETERS.  HOWEVER THE PEDOMETERS MADE TODAY HAVE GREATER ACCURACY IN THEIR ABILITY TO MEASURE WORK (IE., MOVEMENT) ALONG THE 3 AXIS DIMENSIONS WHERE THE HJ112 COULD ONLY MEASURE IN TWO DIMENSIONS,

Problem with the first pedometer, I contacted your customer service department.  Within a couple of days I received a new pedometer and returned the old direct to Omron.  Problems happen I understand, how you resolve them is what matters to me.  Very impressed with your customer service department.  THANK YOU!
