This is everything we hoped for - the second one we purchased.  The first one, fresh off a cardiac event, served us well and took a brutal beating hiking in the Ozarks.  For the price?  Everything we hoped for and more.  We could purchase 5-6 of these for what the competitors are asking for theirs.

This would not be the heart monitor of choice for runners and really avid athletes, because to get the heart rate you basically have to stop and wait a couple of seconds for it to display. However, for someone like me who is just starting a walking program after years of inactivity, it's just fine. I like not having the belt strapped on me while I walk.
